FPC BAND 2010-2011
Welcome:
The students of the 2009-2010 Flagler Palm Coast High School Band and Starlets had an unprecedented year. This was the inaugural year of the Flagler Schools All- County Band. 28 FPC students were selected for the honor of representing our school and working with one of Florida’s finest Music Educators. Our 140 member Marching Bulldogs and Starlets earned an overall Superior rating at the District 21 Music Performance Assessment. The band and starlet programs had 99% participation at the Florida Bandmasters Association District Solo and Ensemble Festival. Out of 68 solo and ensemble entries 61 of them earned Superior or Excellent ratings and 220 Superior medals were awarded to the Flagler Palm Coast High School Band and Starlets members. Both the Symphonic and Concert Bands earned Superior Ratings at the District 21 Concert MPA held at Flagler Palm Coast High School. The achievements received at the district level provided many of our students to participate at the State Level.
The band and starlet programs had 20 entries at State Solo and Ensemble Festival. 19 of them earned a rating of Superior or Excellent. Ending the year on a high note, the Flagler Palm Coast High School Symphonic Band earned Straight Superior ratings at the 2010 Florida Bandmasters Association State Music Performance Assessment held at the University of Florida. There were 66 bands that participated at North State and FPC was one of only 15 bands to receive straight superiors.
Every student of the Flagler Palm Coast High School Band and Starlet program as put in over 350 hours of rehearsals and performances. 100% of all Senior Band & Starlet students will be attending college or have enlisted into the Military. Congratulations to all!!!
We would like to welcome everyone to the Flagler Palm Coast High School Band Family.
Musically Yours,
Mr. John Seth
